Sports Desk: All members of the Bangladesh national cricket team and support staff came out negative in their first coronavirus test after arriving in New Zealand, said one of the team members.

Taskin Ahmed, who spoke in a video message sent by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, told the media that after testing negative they were allowed to come out of their rooms for a brief period.

‘After all of us cleared the first corona test, where everyone came out negative, we were allowed to take a walk outside,’ said the right arm pacer.

‘Such kind of isolation is a different experience because we never passed such time earlier. After almost 48 hours, we got the opportunity to take a walk for about half an hour, that too by maintaining two meters distance and then we came back to our rooms again.’

The cricketers and their support staff will go through few more tests in the coming days and then they will be allowed to begin outdoor practice, informed Taskin.
