A Metropolitan Police officer has admitted kidnapping and raping London woman Sarah Everard.
Wayne Couzens, 48, was arrested and charged with the 33-year-old’s kidnap and murder in March.
He has now pleaded guilty to her kidnap and rape, the BBC reports.
Ms Everard went missing as she walked home from a friend’s house near Clapham Common in south London on March 3.
Couzens was not required to enter a plea to a charge of murder when he appeared at the Old Bailey.
He is set to reappear in court on July 9.
Ms Everard’s death prompted a national debate around the safety of women in public places in Britain.
