ICSD to launch 1977-’21digitised publication tomorrow

The International Consortium for Social Development (ICSD) is going to launch Digitized Social Development Issues, 1977-2021 on Saturday, 11 December 2021 at 2:00 PM Australia, VIC/NSW time. 7:00 PM Bangladesh time. In the USA it is Friday 10 December 2021, evening/night depending upon different time zones.

The launching ceremony would be taking place virtually, said a media release.

ICSD President and Professor of Social Work, Charles Sturt University, Australia, Dr. Manohar Pawar will be presiding over the program.

Brown School of Social Work’s Prof. Emeritus Shanti K. Khinduka of Washington University in St Louis, School of Social Work’s Prof. Emeritus James Midgley of University of California, Berkley, School of Social Work’s Prof. Emeritus David Hollister of the University of Minnesota, School of Social Work’s Prof. Emeritus Brij Mohan of Lousiana State University, Social Welfare History Archivist, Linnea M Anderson of the University of Minnesota Libraries and Dr. Chathapuram Ramanathan of the Dept. of Social Work of the University of West Florida will be speaking on the august occasion. Monash University’s Senior Lecturer, Dr. Tejaswini Patil will be moderating the session.

Later, in the Q&A session, ICSD President Prof. Dr. Manohar Pawar will be answering the journalists’ queries while Vice President Dr. Mithun Mostafiz will be moderating this event.

International Consortium for Social Development (ICSD), a multi-disciplinary and global social development knowledge platform, contributes to establishing peace, progress, across the globe. This global think-tank has been advocating research-based knowledge for sustainable and livable planet earth of equity, equality, social justice and human rights since its inception in the early 1970s.

The Social Development Issue is a scientific and high-impact journal of the ICSD which is published on a regular basis and is regarded as a very powerful and influential publication of the organization.

The digitized version of Social Development Issues will equip researchers, educators and development practitioners and activists with the knowledge and wisdom to deal with issues in the field.

The consortium fosters collaboration among global scholars of organizations assimilating the goals of the United Nations, and specialized bodies like ECOSOC, UNDP, and UNESCO as well as among professional individuals and associations in the human services and institutions of higher learning and research in the knowledge spectrum.

ICSD works across the continents in South and North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa through its branches.
