Journalist Molla Jalal arrested

Police have arrested Molla Jalal, former president of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), in a case filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.

Jalal was arrested from Shegunbagicha in the capital on Monday, Shahbagh Police Station OC Khaled Mansur confirmed.

A woman filed the case against Molla Jalal three or four days ago with the Shahabag police station, the OC added.
