Bangladesh: Next year SSC in June, HSC July or August in

The next year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations will be held in June while Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in July or August, said Education Minister Dipu Moni on Tuesday.

“The existing syllabus of the SSC will be shortened by January 15 and the examinations will be held on the basis of it,” she disclosed it at a virtual press briefing.

Dipu Moni said that the results of HSC examinations will be announced after promulgating an ordinance.

She said, “We are planning to reopen educational institutions in February on limited scale if the COVID-19 remains under control. The classes will continue to be held till May”

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will virtually inaugurate free text books distribution on December 31, the Education Minister added.
