Why foreigners show so much headache on Bangladesh, Quader asks

Bangladesh desk: Addressing the foreign partners over their interest centering the next general election in Bangladesh, Awami League (AL) general secretary Obaidul Quader has said, “Elections will be held in 20 to 22 countries in this year. A president candidate of Ecuador was shot dead. But big powers do not utter any word about it. Why they are showing so much headache about our country? What is the reason? I do not know.”
He made the remarks while addressing at a press conference at the conference room of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges at Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital early Sunday afternoon.
In reply to a query that is Bangladesh becoming a centre of clash for the two countries centering the next general election, Quader said, “Why it would be like that? Election is the internal matter of Bangladesh. Different country has its geo political strategy over this region. America has its strategy, so India has. It is a normal matter to have strategy. On the other hand, China is also a big power.”
About BNP’s demands of caretaker government and resignation of the government, the AL general secretary said, “BNP has demanded caretaker government, resignation of Prime Minister and dissolvement of parliament. However, America and European Union did not talk about it.”
He said, “The demands on which BNP persistents and said they would not take part in the election if those demands are not met. But America did not say anything about those demands yet.”
Quader said he personally asked America, European Union about those demands but they did not say anything about caretaker government and resignation of the Prime Minister.
There is no system of caretaker government and resignation of the Prime Minister in their countries, said Quader adding that there is no part in the world where this system is exist.
Why Bangladesh will follow this system, Quader questioned.
