Sayedee laid to rest beside elder son in Pirojpur

Former politician and lecturer Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, who died of heart attack on Monday night, has been laid to rest at Allama Sayeedi Foundation cemetery in Pirojpur district on Tuesday afternoon.

He was buried next to the grave of his eldest son Rafiq bin Sayeedi beside Baitul Hamd Jame Mosque of the foundation around 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Earlier, Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, who was jailed until death in a case filed over crimes against humanity, died of a heart attack at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital in the capital around 8:40pm on Monday (August 14) where he had been undergoing treatment.

His body was taken to the foundation premise at around 10am on an ambulance with police guard.
