RAB air wing director Ismail, injured in helicopter crash, dies

Bangladesh desk: Rapid Action Battalion’s air wing director Lt Col Mohammad Ismail Hossain, who was injured in a helicopter crash on July 27, died on Tuesday afternoon.
The 45-year-old RAB official breathed his last at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore at about 1:30 pm on Tuesday (local time).
RAB legal and media wing director Khandaker Al Moin confirmed the death news.
It was learnt that he was undergoing treatment at the hospital from August 5 and was on life support at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital from August 7.
A training helicopter of Bangladesh Army was crashed at Nawabganj upazila in Dhaka on July 27 due to technical glitch. Later, critically injured Ismail has been rescued from the scene and admitted to the CMH in Dhaka. He was sent to Singapore hospital for better treatment on August 5.
