Mymensingh teacher accused of rape

A teacher in Mymensingh allegedly ran away saying he would not marry after sexually exploiting a woman in the name of love.
The accused is Abu Sayeed, director and teacher of Digharkanda Adarsh Model School.
Kotwali model police station officer-in-charge Firoz Talukder said that the victim had filed a case in this regard on Tuesday. Attempts are made to arrest Abu Sayeed.
According to local sources, a female teacher from village Par Ghagra of Bhati Barera in sadar upazila fell in love with Abu Sayeed.
Abu Sayeed raped the victim for five years with the promise of love but later became involved with another woman, the victim accused.
The accused had been in hiding since last two months after the victim and her family insisted them to get married.
Abu Sayeed’s nephew Rakibul Hasan Rakib said that Abu Sayeed was out of Mymensingh.
