Mild cold wave grips over parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that, a mild cold wave is sweeping over the north and western region.

“Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Panchagarh & Chuadanga and it may continue”, according to the met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9 am Sunday, reports BSS.

“Weather may remain dry with the temporary partly cloudy sky over the country”, the forecast added.

A ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining areas. The seasonal low lies over South Bay, and its associated trough extends up to North Bay.

A low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours.

Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

The country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 30.1 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature Sunday was recorded 09.3 degrees Celsius jointly at Chuadanga and Tetulia.

The sun sets Sunday at 05-14 PM and rises Monday at 06-34 AM in the capital.
