Major Sinha murder accused divulge ‘sensational information’ in remand

Bangladesh Desk: The accused who are on remand in Major (Retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan murder case have divulged “very important and sensational” information, said Rapid Action Batalion (RAB) on Wednesday.

Briefing newsmen at the office of RAB-15 in Cox’s Bazar at about 9:30pm, RAB’s Legal and Media Wing director Lt Col Ashique Billah said the elite force officials have taken all the information, phone conversations, audio and video clips published by mass media and uploaded to social media.

“A positive inquiry report will be submitted after coordinating all the things,” he said.

Replying to a question of a correspondent, he said the court has ordered to return 29 items of electronic device to Shipra. All the items of electronic device would be returned to Shipra except those which would be required for investigation of the case.

Ashique Billah also said, “RAB is unable to disclose everything to the media for the sake of investigation. A report will be submitted to the court after finding out the reasons behind the killing of Major (Retd) Sinha,” he said.
