Khaleda’s condition deteriorates, medical board expresses concern

Bangladesh desk: The physical condition of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital, has deteriorated. Some tests have been done.
But the medical board formed by the hospital for the treatment of the BNP chief’s is concerned after seeing the test reports.
He said that Khaleda Zia has an imbalance of minerals in her body. Calcium, potassium and hemoglobin levels have decreased.
She has been suffering from a lack of adequate sleep due to electrolyte imbalance. Her health has been deteriorating for the last few days. She is under close observation of the medical board, the board member added.
Khaleda, a 77-year-old former prime minister, has been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung, heart and eye problems.
The BNP chairperson was admitted to the hospital on August 9.
