Jubo Odhikar Parishad leader Tarek ‘picked up by law enforcers’

Bangladesh Jubo Odhikar Parishad leader Tarek Rahman has allegedly been picked up by law enforcers, said the organisation leader.
Tarek Rahman is senior joint convenor of Bangladesh Jubo Odhikar Parishad. He was also one of the joint convenors of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, student wing of the organisation.Some plain-clothed persons, introducing themselves members of Detective Branch of (DB) police, picked him from Roy Saheb Bazar at about 4:00pm, said the organisation’s convenor Muhammad Ataullah.
Meanwhile, former DUCSU president Nurul Haque Nur, Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad acting convenor Md Rashed Khan, Bangladesh Jubo Odhikar Parishad convenor Muhammad Ataullah and secretary Faridul Haque condemned detaining Tarek Rahman by law enforcers.
Meanwhile, Md Walid Hossain, deputy police commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s public relations department, said he has no knowledge of detaining someone named Tarek Rahman.
