Jahangirnagar University student picked up from mess

Bangladesh desk:  A second-year student of Jahangirnagar University (JU) was picked by the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) from his mess at Gerua area near the campus on Tuesday night.

Bony Amin Fakir is a second-year student of the university’s Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department. He is from Sirajganj. He rented the mess as the campus is remained closed.

One of the students of the same mess alleged that some men introducing them as the members of RAB-4 entered the mess and searched Bony’s room confining others to another room. Later, they took him into a car.

RAB-4 ASP Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury said, “We are not aware of the incident, will let you know later.”
