Journalist killed in Bangladesh capital during police-quota protesters clash

A journalist was killed while covering a clash between the police and protesting students demanding quota reform in government jobs at Jatrabari of Bangladesh capital Dhaka on Thursday.

The deceased is Mehedi Hasan, a reporter of Dhaka Times.

Dhaka Times editor Ariufur Rahman Dolon told New Age that Mehedi was killed by receiving a bullet in his head while covering a clash at Jatrabari in Dhaka.

He said that Mehedi’s body was now kept in Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
