Hefazat ameer Babunagari passes away

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh ameer Junaid Babunagari.

Bangladesh desk: Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh ameer Junaid Babunagari passed away at a hospital in Chattogram on Thursday afternoon.

Hefazat ameer’s assistant SM Jonayed told  that he felt sick in the morning.

Later, he was taken to CSCR hospital in Chattogram from Hathazari Madrassah at about 11:00am.

He breathed his last at about 12:30pm at the ICU of the hospital, he added.

Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan expressed deep shock at the death of Babunagari.

In a condolence message, the minister prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and extended sympathy to the bereaved family.

Babunagari became the ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh in 2020.  Before this, he was the secretary general the organisation and the director (education) of Hathazari Madrassah.
