Govt open to fulfilling logical demands of students: Edu Adviser
Speaking at a post-ECNEC (Executive Committee of the National Economic Council) meeting briefing at the NEC auditorium, Dr. Wahiduddin urged students to communicate their concerns constructively.
“Just demands will be met and there will be no need to remain on the streets,” he stated.
Dr. Wahiduddin, who also oversees the planning portfolio, highlighted that several student movements had subsided after their legitimate demands were acknowledged and resolved. “We are committed to addressing just demands fairly, but resolving these issues requires collective efforts,” he noted.
He also addressed concerns over public disruptions caused by protests. “Blocking roads, rail lines, or attacking passengers creates indiscipline and erodes public support for the protesters. Already, the public is beginning to resist such actions,” he remarked.
The adviser emphasized that while the government remains receptive to logical and justified demands, it will not tolerate unreasonable or disruptive behavior. “Indiscipline will not be accepted, and unjustified demands will not be considered,” he reiterated.
The government hopes for constructive dialogue and collaboration with students to resolve issues without causing disruptions to public life.
