Five killed in Sitakunda oxygen plant blast

At least 5 people were killed and many others injured in an explosion at an oxygen plant in Kadamrusul area of Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong on Saturday afternoon.

Sultan Mahmud, senior station officer of Sitakunda Fire Service, said the blast went off at the oxygen plant of Sheema Oxygen Plant at 4:30pm.

A total of 8 fire fighting units were working to douse the fire, he said.
