Deposits by Bangladeshis in Swiss banks jump by 55pc in 2021

Business desk: The amount of money deposited by Bangladesh nationals in Swiss banks jumped by 55 per cent in 2021, according to the Swiss National Bank’s annual banking statistics for 2021.
The amount of deposits by Bangladeshis increased to 871.1 million Swiss francs equivalent to Tk 8,345 crore (1 Swiss francs=Tk 95.80) in 2021 from 563.0 million Swiss Franc equivalent to Tk Tk 5,230 crore.
Money deposited in the Swiss banks decreased in three calendar years from 2018 to 2020.
