COVID-19 claims 39 more, infects 3,674 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Desk:  Bangladesh logged an additional 39 deaths and 3,674 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Saturday, counting the death toll to 8,869 and infections to 591,806.

Among the deceased, 24 were male and 15 female patients.

 

A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.

Some 24,664 specimens were tested in the timeline at 224 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 45,66,694 specimens as of March 27.

A total of 1,917 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 533,922.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
