Constable Kawsar on 7-day remand over killng his colleague

Bangladesh desk:  A Dhaka court has placed the police constable Kawsar Ahmed on seven-day remand over the killing of colleague constable Monirul Islam in Baridhara diplomatic zone in Gulshan on Saturday night.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Shakil Ahmed on Sunday passed the order after police produced Kawsar before the court and prayed for his ten-day remand for interrogation.
On Saturday night (June 8), Kawsar, during a heated altercation, opened fire on Monirul indiscriminately which left Monirul dead and two others also injured.
Among the injured, one was identified as Sazzad, who works as a driver for an embassy. Sazzad is now undergoing treatment at United Hospital.
Following the killing incident, elder brother of the victim filed a case with the Gulshan Police Station accusing constable Kawsar.
