BNP vows to establish ‘people’s govt’ in New Year

 

Bangladesh Desk:  BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday expressed hope that they will establish ‘people’s government’ in the New Year through mass uprising.
“Forging national unity of people BNP will be able to oust the government through mass uprising. This is the vow of the New Year,” said Fakhrul after placing wreaths at the mazar of late President Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city to mark Chhatra Dal’s 42nd founding anniversary on Friday.
He said the government would not be able to suppress the peoples’ movement through repression and torture.
Blaming the government for establishing dictatorship, Fakhrul further said, “The government will be removed through mass uprising. At the same time, the government will be forced to free democracy and Begum Zia.
