BNP announces another 48-hour blockade across Bangladesh from Sunday

The main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Thursday announced another 48-hour blockade across the country from Sunday morning.

This will be the fourth spell of countrywide blockade by the opposition political parties across the country to press home their demand for the resignation of the Awami League government, resolving the parliament and holding the next general election under a neutral government.

The announcement of the fresh countrywide blockade came from a virtual press conference held by BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Thursday afternoon.

Rizvi addressed the party’s virtual press conference on the last day of the opposition enforced two-day countrywide that was marked by violence, attacks and torching of vehicles at p[laces of the  country.
