Barrister Rafique-ul Haque put on life support

Former attorney general and senior lawyer Barrister Rafique-ul Haque has been kept on life support in city’s Ad-din Hospital.
The hospital’s Director General Dr Nahid Yasmin confirmed the matter to media.
Quoting the hospital’s Public Relations Officer Tabibur Rahman, BSS reports that Rafique, also the chairman of the Ad-din Foundation, was kept on life support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since Tuesday night after his condition deteriorated.
The hospital’s Director General Dr Nahid Yasmin said that Rafique was admitted there on October 15.
He has been suffering from various old-aged complications including anaemia, she added.
The veteran lawyer had served as the attorney general from April 7, 1990 to December 17 of the same year.
