Bangladesh: IU student advisor dies from coronavirus

Online desk: Professor M Saidur Rahman, student advisor of Islamic University (IU), died from novel coronavirus at Ibn Sina hospital in Dhaka on Thursday morning.
He breathed his last around 6am at the hospital while underwent treatment.

 

Saidur Rahman, also the chairperson of IU Bangla Department, had been admitted to the hospital with COVID-19 on February 2.
Prof Saidur left behind wife, a daughter and host of relatives and well-wisher to mourn his death.

IU Vice Chancellor and other teachers expressed their condolence at the death of Professor Saidur Rahman.

In the condolence message, they said that the nation has lost a renowned educationist and academician. His death is an irreparable loss to the country’s higher education sector.

All the IU teachers prayed for the salvation of his departed soul and extended deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
