Artificial queues of women voters are created in front of Tejgaon Adarsha School and College on Sunday.
Baaaaaladeeeeeesk: Artificial queues of women voters were created in front of Tejgaon Adarsha School and College on Sunday afternoon.
Although the polling agents were seen spending leisure-time due to lack of voters, some ruling Awami League activists created the queue.
‘I have already cast my vote but still standing in the queue,’ said Rahima Begum, a voter in the centre.
Some women claimed that they came to the centre in the morning and were observing the situation.
They were seen standing in the queue for biriyani.
There are five centres in the educational institute.
Presiding officer of centre number 11 Rashedul Islam told New Age that 300 people cast their votes among 2185 voters in the centre from 8:00am to 12:00noon.
A police officer seeking anonymity said that only eight per cent vote was cast till 12:00pm in the centres of the institution.
He said that they were trying to bring more voters.
