22 die in Khulna div in single day, 7-day lockdown in Khulna

Bangladesh desk: Twenty-two COVID-19 patients died in Khulna division in last 24 hours, a highest single day death in the division.
Meanwhile 615 fresh cases were reported in 10 districts during this time, Rasheda Sultana, Director of Divisional Directorate General of Health Services, said.
She said of the deceased, seven were from Kushtia, three from Khulna, four from Satkhira, three from Jashore, two from Chuadanga, two from Meherpur and one from Jhenidah.
On Thursday, 18 died of COVID-19 in the division and eight on Friday.
As the infection number is rising rapidly in Khulna district, the deputy commissioner on Saturday noon announced a seven-day lockdown which will start from June 22.
All public transports and shops in the district will remain close during the lockdown period.
