NSW Health has urged people in 10 suburbs in Sydney’s south-west to come forward for testing as residents are at particular risk of contracting coronavirus.

NSW Health said it was particularly concerned about 10 suburbs and urged people to come forward immediately for testing if they present a runny nose, sore throat or fever.

The suburbs are: West Hoxton, Hoxton Park, Middleton Grange, Horningsea Park, Carnes Hill, Edmondson Park, Denham Court, Prestons, Busby and Miller.

It comes as NSW recorded one new locally acquired coronavirus infection in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday, which the ABC reported on Monday.

NSW Health’s Jeremy McAnulty said today’s local case was linked to a known cluster in Hoxton Park, which now includes seven infections.

“This case is a person who worked three shifts at Jasmin1 Lebanese restaurant at Liverpool while potentially infectious,” Dr McAnulty said.

He urged people who attended the restaurant for more than one hour to get tested immediately and isolate for a full 14 days from exposure, regardless of the result of the test.
