Homicide detectives are investigating after four people were found dead at a property in Tullamarine, in Melbourne’s north-west, police say.
Victoria Police said officers were called to the property about 12:30pm.
It is believed a family with three children lived at the home.
Police said a man was “assisting police with their inquiries” and there was no ongoing threat to the community.

A man was led from the house by officers and assessed by paramedics before he was taken away in a police car.
“A crime scene has been established and detectives from the Homicide Squad are attending,” a Victoria Police statement said.
“The exact circumstances around the incident are under investigation and we will provide more information when it’s appropriate to do so.”

Police have cordoned off Burgess Street in Tullamarine. At least half a dozen police cars and officers are crowding the street.
Neighbours told the ABC the area is relatively quiet, with lots of young renters.
Victoria Police is expected to provide an update at a press conference about 4:30pm.
