Suddenly I heard cricketer Nasir becomes my wife’s husband: Rakib

Cricketer Nasir Hossain has recently tied the knot with Tamima Tammi. Pictures of his wedding with cabin crew Tamima on Valentine’s Day have gone viral on social media. However, a new debate has already created over this marriage as one Rakib Hossain claimed himself as the first husband of Tamima.

“Tamima tied the knot with Nasir without legally divorcing me. I made a general diary (GD) with Uttara West Police Station after getting no response by calling Tamima,” said Rakib on Saturday.

Nasir arranged the wedding ceremony at a restaurant in Uttara on February 14.

Meanwhile, the audio clip of the conversation between Nasir and Rakib has spread on social media. In that conversation, prove of Tamima’s first marriage was found. Nasir also admits that he married Tamima knowing everything.

About the matter Rakib said his wife Tamima married Nasir without giving divorce or informing anything about it.

He said, “Suddenly I heard that Nasir has become my wife’s husband. He married Tamima as there is no divorce from me or her yet. She (Tamima) has not sent me any legal documents yet.”

Expressing his surprise over the marriage Rakib further said, “I called Tamima, sent her messages, she didn’t answer anything. Later, I lodged a GD with the police station.”

Nasir made a phone call to Rakib after the GD.  Record of that phone call has already gone viral on social media.

Rakib said Nasir made a phone call to him yesterday afternoon. “He called me and said, “Do not you want Tamima to be happy? I did not understand why my wife would be happy with him.”

He (Rakib) further said, “I married Tamima in 2011 when she just passed SSC examinations. Then I gave her assistance to complete her HSC and Honours examinations.”

When contacted to know Nasir’s statement in this regard, his mobile phone was found switched off.
