Obaidul Quader hospitalised with chest pain

Bangladesh desk: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has been admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital as he felt chest pain.

 

He fell sick on Tuesday morning and was taken to BSMMU, the ministry’s public relation officer Sheikh Walid confirmed.
BSMMU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahmed said Obaidul Quader came to the hospital for routine check up as he has been suffering from various health problems, including chest pain, kidney problem.
But, he is doing well. Medical board will be formed soon and necessary tests will be done, the vice-chancellor added.
Quader, also Awami League general secretary,  had undergone a bypass surgery on March 20, 2019, at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for three blockages in his coronary artery.
