Khaleda Zia admitted to hospital

She was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital on Tuesday midnight, said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Mirza Fakhrul said: “Madam’s (Khaleda Zia) physical condition is better now. She needs further medical tests. Because of it, she will stay at the hospital tonight (Wednesday night).”
Asked whether Khaleda Zia had developed any coronavirus complications, Fakhrul said, “No, she hasn’t developed any complication.”
Hospital sources said Khaleda Zia had undergone several medical tests including CT scan, untra-sonogram, Eco and ECG. She was admitted to the hospital for taking her tests conveniently.
She is now undergoing treatment at Room No. 7203 on the 6th floor of the hospital under cardiologist Professor Dr Md Shahabuddin Talukder.
Earlier, she was taken to Evercare Hospital for medical tests from her Gulshan residence ‘Firoza’ at about 9:30pm and she reached the hospital at 10:10pm. At that time, her domestic help Fatema accompanied her.
Earlier, Khaleda Zia’s medical team member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said, “Madam [Khaleda] will be taken to Evercare Hospital around 9:00pm for a few tests, including CT scan. All the arrangements have been made in this regard at the hospital.”
Besides, Khaleda Zia’s medical board’s physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, Dr Mohammad Al Mamun, Dr FM Siddiqui and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir went to the hospital.
