COVID-19 claims 18 more, infects 399 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional 18 deaths and 399 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Tuesday, counting the death toll to 8,374 and infections to 544,116.
Among the deceased, 10 were male and eight female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 12,748 specimens were tested in the timeline at 214 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 39,71,524 specimens as of February 23.
A total of 828 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 492,887.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
