Covid-19: 50 deaths, 2,856 new cases in 24hrs in Bangladesh

In the last 24 hours, a total of 12,398 samples were tested across the country, of which 23.04% were found positive

Bangladesh has recorded 50 deaths and 2,856 new cases of Covid-19 infection across the country in the last 24-hours.

DGHS Additional Director General (Administration) Prof Nasima Sultana revealed the latest figures in a daily online bulletin on the Covid-19 pandemic on Thursday.

With the new deaths, the total death toll from the pandemic in the country stands at 2,801.

Similarly, the total number of confirmed cases in the country now stands at 216,110.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 12,398 samples were tested across the country, of which 23.04% were found positive. 

Meanwhile, 2,006 patients successfully recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered patients in the country to 119,208.
