Couple, their daughter found dead in Dhaka apartment

Police recovered the bodies of a couple and their 21-year-old daughter from their apartment in a house at Kadamtali in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
Two more members of the family, including a minor, were rescued in critical condition and are now undergoing treatment at separate hospitals in Dhaka.
The deceased were Masud Rana, 50, his wife Mousumi Islam, 45, and their daughter Jannatul, 21.
Critically ill Shafiqul Islam is now undergoing treatment at Mitford Hospital and his five-year-old daughter Marjana Tabassum is undergoing treatment in Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Kadamtali police duty officer sub-inspector Abul Kalam said that they recovered the bodies from Muradpur of Kadamtali in the afternoon.
He said that they found marks of strangulation in the bodies and that the actual reason of the deaths would be unearthed after their post-mortem examinations.
Critically ill Shafiqul told reporters at Mitford hospital that his wife Mehjabin Moon served tea to all the family members on Friday night and then fell asleep and could not remember anything more.
SI Kalam said that they detained Mehjabin Moon for interrogation.
