BB official dies as brick falls on her at Mouchak

Bangladesh desk: A senior official of Bangladesh Bank was killed at the capital’s Mouchak area Dhaka on Wednesday evening after a piece of brick fell on her head from a roadside building.
The deceased was Dipannita Biswas, 37, an assistant director of the Bangladesh Bank.
The incident happened at about 7:00pm near Mouchak Market when Dipannita was returning home from her office.
According to Ramna Police Station OC Utpal Barua, Dipannita Biswas was walking home from the Shantinagar area at around 7:30pm. Suddenly a piece of brick fell on her head leaving her dead on the spot.
“A building at the spot is under-construction. We are investigating the incident,” the OC said.
Tarun Biswas, husband of Dipannita Bishwash, filed a murder case on Thursday with Ramna Model Police Station. Some unidentified men were made accused in the case.
