Bangladesh ranks 47th most powerful country in world

In the 2024 listing, Bangladesh is positioned at 47th, ahead of several European nations, including Ireland.
The ranking places the United States at the top, followed by China, Russia, the United Kingdom, and Germany. According to US News, the list is based on a country’s influence in global policymaking, economic strength, media presence, foreign policy impact, military spending, and international reputation.
The evaluation also considers the economic and political influence of national leaders, strength of exports, global alliances, and the country’s prominence in international news.
In South Asia, Bangladesh and India are the only two countries included in the top 50, with India ranking 12th. Other neighboring countries such as Pakistan, Bhutan, and the Maldives did not make it to the list.
