Bangladesh: Notice issued relaxing ongoing restrictions ahead of Eid

Bangladesh desk: The Cabinet Division on Tuesday issued a gazette notification relaxing the ongoing strict lockdown from July 15-22 ahead of Eid-u;-Azha.
During this period, public transport services will resume and shopping malls will remain open.
The decision was taken considering the socio-economic condition of the country and the need to maintain normal economic activity, the notice said.
It said the hard restrictions will be reimposed from 23 July and will remain inforce till August 5.
As the deadly coronavirus infection rate and death rate keeps surging across the country, the government has first imposed a weeklong hard lockdown till July 7 midnight which has later been extended for another one week till July 14 midnight.
