Bangladesh: Boy kills stepmother, 2 siblings in Sylhet

Bangladesh Desk: A boy stabbed his stepmother, her son, and daughter to death in Sylhet early Friday.
The deceased are Rubia Begum, 30, wife of Abzal Hossain of Mirmahalla at Shah Paran area in the city’s outskirt, her daughter Maha, 9, and son Tahsin, 7, police said.
Shah Paran police officer-in-charge Syed Anisur Rahman told New Age that Abad Hossain, 19, stabbed his stepmother, stepsister, and brother at about 12:00am following a family dispute.
Being informed by locals, police rushed to the spot and took the victims to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, he said.
The police officer said that Rubia and her daughter Maha were declared dead by the on-duty doctors of the hospital on arrival and Tahsin died at about 2:30am while he was undergoing treatment.
‘Local people handed Abad over to police and they arrested him,’ he added.
