A man was killed and at least seven people were injured in an air conditioner explosion at Dubai visa centre in the capital’s Gulshan area on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Azizul Haq, a technician.
The injured were admitted to hospitals, said DMP Gulshan division additional deputy commissioner Nazmul Haque Firoz.
Fire Service control room duty officer Russel Shikder said that an air conditioner exploded at the visa centre at Gulshan-2 in the afternoon.
Azizul was working to fix the air conditioner when it exploded.
