Offices to resume tomorrow after Eid vacation

 The government offices will resume tomorrow after the vacation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festivals of Muslims.

This year, the government officials-employees got five-day holiday at a stretch. The government extended Eid-ul-Azha holidays by a day as it declared June 27 a holiday through an executive order.

With the holiday of June 27, the government officials-employees enjoyed five-day holiday for Eid-ul-Azha as pre-scheduled holidays were on June 28-30 and July 1 is a Saturday, a weekly holiday.

The Muslim community celebrated the Eid-ul-Azha with festivity, fanfare and religious fervor. Dhaka streets took deserted look as people went to villages to celebrate the festival.

The people who left capital Dhaka to celebrate the festival at their village homes with their dear and near ones have started returning to the city.
