Bangladesh desk: Bangladesh law minister Anisul Huq on Saturday warned foreign diplomats of speaking about any affairs of Bangladesh as their behaviours in recent days ‘hurt’ him.
‘I will urge them to look the position of their countries and the depth of relationships of their countries with Bangladesh as per the Vienna Convention, before making any comment on any affairs,’ the minister told reporters responding to queries from journalists.
He made the remarks after attending a discussion organised by Bangladesh National Human Rights Commission marking the International Human Rights Day on Saturday at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden.
Reminding all diplomats about the Vienna convention, Anis said that they represented their respective countries.
‘I hope that they will speak considering the relationships between Bangladesh and their countries,’ he added.
