Banks asked to close evening banking to save power

Bangladesh desk: Bangladesh Bank has instructed to close evening banking activities to save electricity.

The Banking Regulations and Policy Department of the central bank issued a notification in this regard and sent it to top executives of banks for immediate effect on Tuesday.

According to the notification, evening banking activities will be closed until further instruction.

“The decision has been taken in line with the changes in office hours for saving energy,” the Bangladesh Bank instruction said.
