Plan to hold SSC in mid-Nov, HSC in beginning of Dec: Dipu Moni

Bnagladesh desk: The education minister, Dipu Moni, on Saturday said that they were hoping to hold the Secondary School Certificate examinations of 2021 in mid-November and the Higher Secondary Certificate examinations of 2021 at the beginning of December this year.

‘We’re hoping that SSC and HSC examinations would be held in time,’ she told these to the journalists after attending a programme in the capital.

Decision on reopening of in-person classes of pre-primary level would be taken after observing the situation for three weeks, she said.

Earlier, On Thursday, Bangladesh Madrassah Education Board published the routine of the Dakhil examinations of 2021, equivalent to the SSC examinations, which are scheduled to begin on November 14 this year.

Since March 18, 2020, the classroom activities of the educational institutions across the country have remained closed due to the Covid situation.

All educational institutions remained shut till September 11.

The authorities resumed the in-person classes on September 12.

Earlier in 2020, subject mapping was used to publish the results of the HSC and equivalent examinations when the results were prepared based on the results of SSC, JSC and equivalent examinations.

Currently, there are some 20 lakh SSC and some 15 lakh HSC examinees in the country.
