Medical student’s body recovered from Gulshan residence

Bangladesh desk: Body of a medical student was recovered from her Gulshan residence in capital on Thursday.
Relatives of Faria Haider found her hanging body at her Niketan residence and then took to hospital where an on-duty doctor pronounced her dead.
The 21-year-old Faria’s father Alam Haider said his daughter was a first year student at a medical college in Malaysia. She had been staying in the country due to coronavirus. She used to take part in online lessons from her residence.
Faria’s father further said Faria went to bed after dinner on Friday. Getting up from bed on the following morning, he found her daughter was hanging with a ceiling fan with her scarf around her neck. She was first rushed to a local hospital and then to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
DMCH Police Camp in-charge Bacchu Mia said the body of Faria was kept at the morgue for postmortem. The police station concerned was informed about the matter.
