7-day lockdown in Satkhira from Saturday

In the wake of a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases in Satkhira, the district administration has imposed a seven-day lockdown here.
Deputy Commissioner SM Mostafa Kamal announced this on Thursday at COVID-19 Protection Committee meeting.
He said the seven-day strict lockdown from June 5-11 was imposed in the district to prevent the transmission of the Indian variant of COVID-19.
The infection rate in the Satkhira district is over 54 per cent.
Inter-district transport services will be suspended during this time while emergency services are out of this order.

Illegal movement through Satkhira border will be totally banned.
