Bangladesh Journalist Hasan Shahriar dies of COVID-19

Former president of Jatiya Press Club and former executive editor of The Daily Ittefaq, Hasan Shahriar died from coronavirus infection on Saturday morning.
According to family sources, Hasan Shahriar was admitted to the hospital around 1:30am on Friday when his condition deteriorated. Later, he was shifted to the intensive care unit of the hospital as his condition deteriorated further.
He breathed his last at about 11:30 am at Impulse Hospital in the city on Saturday, said Press Club general secretary Elias Khan.
The journalist had complications in lungs and symptoms of coronavirus.
